Second Appellate District Announces Destruction of Old Court Records

The California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District today announced its intention to destroy the following civil and criminal records pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 10.1028(c).

The records to be destroyed include:

  • All civil cases numbered between B131000—B135999.
  • All criminal cases numbered between B046000—B049999 with a final disposition prior to January 1, 1992.

In the event anyone knows of any reason why a particular case, among the above numbered cases, should be retained, notify Joseph Lane, Clerk of the Court in writing setting forth in detail the reason(s) for retention. All requests must be received by September 1, 2011.
