Intertribal Court of California
This circuit tribal court was established by the National Indian Justice Center in 1996 and serves a consortium of 12 California tribes who have joined the consortium by submitting a signed intergovernmental agreement. The court’s jurisdiction is limited to housing, child welfare, employment, and environmental cases. Jurisdiction may be expanded for an individual tribe upon request and submission of their tribal code.
