Michael M. Roddy is the court executive officer for the Superior Court of San Diego County. In that role, he has oversight responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the court, including its clerk’s office, jury service, budgeting, procurement, security, human resources, and business services.

Mr. Roddy has more than 36 years of experience in court administration. Before returning to the court in San Diego, he served as a regional administrative director for the Judicial Council and before that as the court executive officer for the Superior Court of Sacramento County.

Mr. Roddy has also volunteered much of his time to improve the administration of justice in California. He previously served as an advisory member of the Judicial Council (2006-2011), and has been on 20 of the council’s advisory bodies. Those groups include the Court Executives Advisory Committee, Court Security Advisory Committee, Probation Services Task Force, Court Technology Committee, Blue Ribbon Task Force on Jury System Improvement, Trial Court Budget Commission and Trial Court Budget Advisory Committee, CJER Governing Committee, Mental Health Issues Implementation Task Force, Language Access Plan Implementation Task Force, and Trial Court Facility Modification Advisory Committee, just to name a few.
