Judicial Council of California Bias Reduction Training, CJER-11-2017-LB

Intent to Award

The Judicial Council of California (“Judicial Council”), chaired by the Chief Justice of California, is the chief policy making agency of the California judicial system.  The California Constitution directs the council to improve the administration of justice by surveying judicial business, recommending improvements to the courts, and making recommendations annually to the Governor and the Legislature.  The council also adopts rules for court administration, practice, and procedure, and performs other functions prescribed by law.  The Judicial Council is the staff agency for the council and assists both the council and its chair in performing their duties.

The Center for Judicial Education and Research (CJER), is tasked with education and training of the justices, judges, and employees of the courts of the State of California, as well as the employees at the Judicial Council. 

Judicial Council is seeking a subject matter Expert Trainer/Presenter(s) to design a training program and deliver the training for all of the Judicial Council’s seven-hundred (700 +) employees on the topic of Bias Reduction. The Judicial Council’s employees are located in San Francisco and Sacramento locations.  The training will be provided in both of these locations.  The RFP will result in a single award for multiple training sessions to be completed within the first quarter of 2018.
