The Second Appellate District of the Court of Appeal sponsors the first formal state court clinic anywhere for unrepresented appellate litigants, in the courthouse, where people can drop in for assistance and reassurance. Clinic lawyers explain requirements, provide forms, and review paperwork. In appropriate cases they also offer to recruit pro bono legal representation.
