Effective September 26, 2016 each of the divisions within the Fourth District Court of Appeal has successfully implemented Electronic Filing pursuant to Local Rule 5.

Division One of the Fourth District Court of Appeal has updated The California Court of Appeal Step by Step, Civil Appellate Practices and Procedures for the Self-Represented in the Fourth Appellate District Division One and the Basic Appellate Procedures brochure to reflect mandatory electronic filing.

Pursuant to Local Rule 5(2)(e)(3) - Any party who orders a reporter’s transcript of the proceeding pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 8.130, must also request a copy of the transcript in electronic format, as provided in California Rules of Court, rule 8.130(f)(4), and must submit an electronic copy to the court.
