JUSTICE FRANK Y. JACKSONJUSTICE Jackson was confirmed as an Associate Justice of the Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division Seven in June 2008. He was elevated to the Los Angeles County Superior Court in 1993, assigned to the Antelope Valley Courthouse in Lancaster; he served as Supervising Judge from 1995 to 2001. Before that he was a Municipal Court Judge of the Antelope Municipal Court from January 1990 to January 1993. Justice Jackson served three terms as a Justice Pro Tem in the Court of Appeal in Divisions One and Five.

Justice Jackson started his legal career in 1973 as an Attorney with the law firm of Cosgrove, Michelizzi, Schwabacher, Ward and Jackson, specializing in family law. During his career, he has taught at Antelope Valley College, Golden Gate University as a Senior Adjunct Professor,  La Verne University and La Verne University and California State University, Bakersfield.

Justice Jackson obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1973. He graduated from the University of Nevada in 1970 with a degree in political science and a minor in economics. While an undergraduate, he also played intercollegiate basketball and tennis.

Justice Jackson has been involved in many community organizations and has been the recipient of several awards.

Justice Jackson was born and raised in Southern California. He is married and has three children.
