*PLEASE NOTE: Due to the unprecedented fiscal crisis facing our state and related budget cuts to the judicial branch, the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) has restrictions on recruitments to fill vacancies and establishing new positions. Possible exemptions to these restrictions include positions that are required to implement new legislation, federally or grant funded positions, or positions that support critical initiatives. All position requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the AOC Human Resources Services Office and the AOC Fiscal Services Office with a recommendation being made to the AOC Executive Office on final approval.
The California Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeal determine their own recruitment needs as do other judicial branch agencies (Habeas Corpus Resource Center and the Commission on Judicial Performance) based on their own program needs and cost-cutting measures.
