Local Rule 5, Electronic Filing (Division One only)
Mandatory Electronic Filing
Division One will require mandatory e-Filing of all original proceedings, except as provided in subdivision (b) of this Court's Local Rule 5. A filing in electronic format will be accepted in lieu of any paper copies and will constitute the official record of the Court.
Voluntary Electronic Filing
Division One will accept motions through e-Filing. A filing in electronic format will be accepted in lieu of any paper copies and will constitute the official record of the Court.

Orange County’s Division Three of the Fourth Appellate District has launched a free self-help clinic for self represented litigants. The Orange County Civil Appellate Self Help Clinic will be held at the court on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month starting Wednesday May 13, 2015. The Fourth District Division One, along with other partners, has implemented a Civil Appellate Self-Help Workshop to offer legal information, education and assistance to self-represented litigants in civil appeals. There is no charge for this monthly workshop held the third Tuesday of each month.
The California Appellate Courts Case Information System provides case information for California Supreme Court and Court of Appeal cases. Case information is updated once an hour throughout the business day.
The 4th District is unique in that it is divided into three geographical divisions.
