The Judicial Council holds six to eight business meetings each year. These meetings are open to the public unless closed under rule 10.6(a) or (b) of the California Rules of Court. A meeting agenda is posted here at least seven days before each business meeting, and meeting materials are linked as soon as they are available. During the meetings, real-time audio and text streaming will be provided on this page. An audio recording and an unedited transcript of the spoken words of each meeting are posted here within a few days of the meeting. Meeting minutes are posted once approved by the council, usually at the subsequent business meeting.
Requests for an accommodation of a disability are managed by the council’s Secretariat. Please submit all requests as soon as possible either in writing to JudicialCouncil@jud.ca.gov, by phone at 415-865-7915, by fax at 415-865-4586, or by TTY at 415-865-4272.
Audiocasts of live Judicial Council meetings are posted to this page. The link to the audiocast will be posted approximately 15 minutes before each meeting.
The minutes are the official record of council meetings. To request an audio recording or an unofficial, unedited transcript of past council meetings, contact the Judicial Administration Library at library@jud.ca.gov or 415-865-8080.

The Judicial Council has a comprehensive process for soliciting, gathering, and considering public comment on proposals during the policy development process. Public comments submitted during the comment periods in advance of the meetings are provided to the council in comment charts attached to the reports. These public comments become part of the record and contribute to the basis for the council’s policy decisions.
Public comment on general issues of judicial administration or on specific agenda items is accepted for Judicial Council business meetings. To present your views to the council, please refer to the business meeting agenda for specific instructions.
*The dates of council meetings are subject to change. Revised dates, revised agendas, and revised materials will be posted as soon as possible. Unless otherwise noted, all business meetings are held at the Ronald M. George State Office Complex, William C. Vickrey Judicial Council Conference Center, Malcolm M. Lucas Board Room, 455 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, California 94102-3688.
