Judicial Council Members

Council members are volunteers and do not receive additional compensation for their service. Most members are appointed by the Chief Justice, Chair of the Council, or by the State Bar Board of Trustees. Legislative representatives and advisory members also serve. Most Judicial Council members serve three year terms and each year about a third of the membership rotates off and a new group is sworn in. In Feb 2012, council members were appointed as liaisons to the trial courts (updated Oct 2012) and divisions of the Administrative Office of the Courts (updated Dec 2012). This measure promotes the exchange of information between branch entities and the council.
