Council Enhances Oversight of Administrative Office of the Courts
At its Oct 25 meeting, the Judicial Council adopted recommendations to scale back the Administrative Office of the Courts’ authority to act on the council’s behalf. The council’s Executive and Planning Committee chair Douglas Miller, presented the recommendations, which stem from council directives resulting from the final report of the Strategic Evaluation Committee (SEC).

The Administrative Director of the Courts is accountable to the council and the Chief Justice for the performance of the Administrative Office of the Courts. The Administrative Director's charge is to accomplish the council's goals and priorities. MORE »
Administrative Director of the Courts
Judge Jahr served as a judge for 22 years before his retirement from the bench in 2009. He was selected by the Judicial Council to serve as the state’s fifth Administrative Director of the Courts.
