New Local Rule regarding mandatory e-filing in the First District
Please note that e-filing for original proceedings will go live on April 14, 2014. All original proceedings should continue to be filed by paper until that time.
Civil Cases must be filed electronically starting on March 17, 2014. Registration begins approximately March 10, 2014 Criminal and Juvenile cases must be filed electronically starting on April 14, 2014. Registration for the mandatory e-filing will begin approximately one week before Rule 16 goes into effect. Please consult our website for further updates on the registration process.
Registration for TrueFiling will begin on March 10, 2014. Please do not try to register before that date.

Its jurisdiction is over the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Solano, and Sonoma.
