New Clerk Named to the Fourth Appellate District
Administrative Presiding Justice Judith McConnell today announced the appointment of Kevin J. Lane as the new clerk/administrator of the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District.

Suspension of Oral Argument Video Conference Appearances (For Division Three only)
Due to budget constraints, Division Three’s oral argument video conference program is suspended indefinitely effective May 15, 2013.

Change in 2013 Oral Argument Dates (For Division Three Only)
Due to a scheduling conflict the oral argument dates in April 2013, have been changed. The new dates are April 25, 2013 through May 1, 2013.

Effective 1/1/2013, CRC, rule 8.212(c)(2) was revised.
The Supreme Court now requires an electronic service copy of briefs filed. SUBMISSION OF AN ELECTRONIC COPY TO THE COURT OF APPEAL, WILL SATISFY THIS REQUIREMENT. When a copy of a civil brief is submitted electronically to the Court of Appeal, a copy is automatically sent to the Supreme Court. There is no need to submit a separate e-copy to the Supreme Court if you first submit one to us.

The 4th District is unique in that it is divided into three geographical divisions.

• Division One is located in San Diego and has jurisdiction over matters from Imperial and San Diego Counties.
• Division Two is located in Riverside and has jurisdiction over matters from Inyo, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties.
• Division Three is located in Santa Ana and has jurisdiction over matters from Orange County
