Electronic Filing / Submissions

e-File Documents

Pursuant to California Rules of Court, Rule 8.70 and California Supreme Court Rules Regarding Electronic Filing, filings for certain documents in civil and criminal proceedings and matters arising from a judgment of death can be made through the court's electronic filing system (TrueFiling). Visit the Supreme Court's e-Filing page for details.

e-Submissions

Please be advised that beginning July 10, 2017, the California Supreme Court will accept selected documents for filing through the court’s electronic filing system (TrueFiling).  E-filing will be voluntary beginning July 10, 2017, and mandatory on September 1, 2017.
Electronic submission is the submission of an electronic copy of a document to the reviewing court. Briefs or writs submitted electronically are not a substitute for, but an addition to, the required paper filings which constitute the official court record. Visit the Supreme Court's e-Submissions page for details.
