Electronic Filing / Submissions

Effective April 7, 2016, a new Local Rule 5 has been adopted in conjunction with the implementation of e-filing in the Fourth District; the new local rule will replace existing Local Rule 5 in Division Two on June 6, 2016.  Pursuant to Division Two's Miscellaneous Order #16-17, mandatory e-filing under the new Local Rule will take effect on June 13, 2016, although parties may utilize e-filing on a voluntary basis beginning on June 6, 2016.  New Local Rule 5 will take effect in Division Three after the issuance of an authorizing miscellaneous order by that court.

Notice: In order to reduce delay in electronic service, parties are requested to remove spam filtering for @jud.ca.gov.

Divisions 1 and 2 Mandatory e-Filing

Pursuant to Local Rule 5 self-represented parties may, but are not required to register for electronic filing, but must comply with this rule and the requirements of TrueFiling if they elect to register.
