Morongo Tribal Court

The Morongo Tribe is a federally recognized tribe located in south-central California in Riverside County.  The tribe’s reservation comprises over 32,000 acres.  The tribe has approximately 750 enrolled members.


The Morongo Tribal Court was established and began hearing cases in October of 2007.  The Court hears matters as authorized by tribal codes and ordinances.  It began hearing only Indian Child Welfare Act child abuse and neglect cases.  The court now also hears matters arising under the tribe’s Off Road Vehicle Ordinance.
