Comprehensive Case Flow Management Reports - Riverside Superior Court

Overview/Program Description:

Using data compiled from the court's case management system, comprehensive criminal caseflow reports were developed that provide a court's judicial leaders with high-level, critical data on filings, dispositions, case inventories, and trends over time. Similar reports were later developed for civil case types.

Program Benefits/Savings:

Judges and administrators realized that in order to make objective decisions about judicial assignments and to adjust resources to match filing trends, high-level reports were needed on an ongoing basis that showed trends in filings, dispositions, and case inventories. The reports save a great deal of time and allow judges in leadership roles to make educated decisions as to where best to allocate limited judicial resources.
