Self-Help Online Workshop Registration - Monterey Superior Court

Overview/Program Description:

Family law litigants can register online for the court's self-help workshops, and schedule appointments with the court's self-help staff for the review of documents and paperwork. The four workshops available include English and Spanish versions of both a marriage dissolution workshop and a workshop on child support, custody, and visitation.

Program Benefits/Savings:

Prior to online registration, the registration process was manual and required participants to physically visit the Self-Help Center located in Monterey during business hours. For some participants, this required up to a 65-mile drive to register for the self-help services. The online registration expands accessibility for the public to view and register for the self-help workshops from anywhere, anytime using the internet. Additionally, the time saved with online registration frees up staff time to assist other litigants.
