Commissioner Wightman was selected by her peers in 2015 to receive the inaugural Commissioner of the Year Award, given by the California Court Commissioner Association.

She is currently working with the Judicial Council’s Center for Judicial Education and Research to combine the child support and family law benchguides into a universal Family Law Support Handbook.

Commissioner Wightman remains an active member of the Judicial Stakeholders’ Committee, a joint committee of the state Department of Child Support Services and the Judicial Council that reviews proposed state regulations. She also serves on the San Francisco court's Executive Committee to develop policies for court operations.
