Judge Paul A. Bacigalupo serves a one-year term on the Judicial Council as the 87th President of the California Judges Association (CJA).

Judge Bacigalupo has chaired the CJA's Strategic Plan Workgroup, Judicial Elections Committee, and has been a member of the editorial board and contributing writer to the CJA's quarterly publication The Bench. Judge Bacigalupo is an appointed special master with the Commission on Judicial Performance and chairs the Judicial Council’s Access, Ethics and Fairness Curriculum Committee.  He has served on several CJER workgroups and as faculty. Judge Bacigalupo served as a judge on the State Bar Court and was elected to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in 2003. He has served on the court’s Executive Committee and its Facilities, Community Outreach and Access and Fairness Committees. He co-chairs the Los Angeles Judicial Appointment Support Committee of the California Latino Judges Association.

Before joining the bench, Judge Bacigalupo was in private practice and a founding attorney arbitrator and mediator for JAMS/Endispute in Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
