Judge Kevin C. Brazile, Superior Court of Los Angeles County, is appointed to a voting position on the Judicial Council effective September 15, 2020. He previously served a term on the Judicial Council (2017-2018). Judge Brazile was appointed to the bench by Governor Gray Davis in 2002. He served as presiding judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court for a two-year term beginning January 2019. He currently serves as cochair of the Judicial Council’s Advisory Committee on Providing Access and Fairness. He also served as a member of the Judicial Council’s Civil and Smalls Claims Advisory Committee. In addition, Presiding Judge Brazile has served on the California Judges Association (CJA) Executive Board, including one year as vice president of CJA and as a member of the California Judges Association Foundation.
