Model Self-Help Centers Pilot Program Evaluation

A Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued on April 30, 2002. The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is seeking proposals from qualified bidders who will collaborate with AOC and self-help center project staff to design and conduct an evaluation of the five model self-help center pilot programs. The consultant should have expertise in conducting and managing large-scale, multi-site research/data collection projects that involve a wide range of both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Experience working collaboratively to create a research design is also highly desirable.

The Model Self-Help Centers Pilot Program Evaluation project is governed by the following general principles:

  • The AOC will contract with the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco to oversee the evaluation of the five pilot self-help centers. The Court will assemble a "Project Team" comprised of the AOC Project Manager for the Model Self Help Pilot Projects, AOC research staff, as well as representatives from the project counties.
  • The AOC reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, as well as the right to conduct or not conduct a similar proposal in the future. This request for proposals is in no way an agreement, obligation, or contract, and the AOC is not responsible for the cost of preparation. One copy of a submitted proposal will be retained for official files and become a public record.

Proposals must be received prior to 5 p.m. PDT, Friday, May 31, 2002, and include all required attachments. Oral responses will not be accepted.
