On May 17, 2019 the San Francisco County Superior Court presented its Veterans Justice Court project to the Judicial Council at its business meeting.
On March 15, 2019 the San Joaquin County Superior Court presented its Community Supervision Court project to the Judicial Council at its business meeting.
On January 15, 2019 the San Bernardino County Superior Court presented its Video-Conferencing Child Custody Recommending Counseling project to the Judicial Council at its business meeting.
On November 29, 2018 the Monterey County Superior Court presented its California Court Access App project to the Judicial Council at its business meeting.
On September 28, 2018, the Judicial Council submitted the Report on the Judicial Council’s Court Innovations Grant Program in accordance with the Budget Act of 2016 to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee and the California Department of Finance.
On September 8, 2017, the Judicial Council submitted the Report on the Judicial Council’s Court Innovations Grant Program in accordance with the Budget Act of 2016 to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee and the California Department of Finance.
On March 24, 2017, the Judicial Council awarded 53 grants collectively worth more than $23 million to 29 courts throughout the State. The grants will be used to promote innovation, modernization, and efficiency in California’s courts.
By October 31, 2016, the Judicial Council received numerous grant applications requesting grant funds in excess of the grant funds available in the Court Innovations Grant Program.
Until September 26, 2016, the Judicial Council accepted Notices of Intent to Apply from prospective grant applicants.
On September 20, 2016, Judicial Council staff offered two WebEx/teleconference sessions to provide details and answer questions about the Court Innovations Grant Program for interested parties. View the presentation.

Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye created the Ad Hoc Working Group on Innovations Grants in June of 2016, to develop the guidelines and criteria for the competitive grant process associated with the Court Innovations Grant Program.
The Budget Act of 2016 created the Court Innovations Grant Program.
