The Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, is changing its telephone hours to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Currently, telephone hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The change will take effect Friday, June 24, 2016.

Administrative Presiding Justice Vance W. Raye announced that as part of its award-winning community outreach program, the Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, will hear oral argument at Pioneer High School in the Woodland Joint Unified School District.

The Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, has published Local Rule 5 governing electronic filing. The effective date of Local Rule 5 is September 14, 2015.

The 3rd District is located in Sacramento. Its jurisdiction is over the following counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, and Yuba.
