Adam Dorsey Biography

Adam Dorsey is the Judicial Council’s Chief Administrative Officer, directing the council’s Administrative Division. 

Mr. Dorsey’s public service career began in 2008 and included a number of leadership roles at the California Department of Finance. He most recently served as a Program Budget Manager with the Department of Finance where he was responsible for health and human services fiscal policy on behalf of the Administration. He also served as Assistant Secretary for Program and Fiscal Affairs with the California Health and Human Services Agency, providing oversight for programmatic and fiscal matters concerning the Department of Social Services, Department of Child Support Services, Department of Community Services and Development, and the Office of Systems Integration. Over the years, Adam has had the privilege of working on a number of important initiatives including several Managed Care Organization taxes, health care reform implementation, and the response the COVID pandemic. Prior to his tenure in State government, Adam worked for entities including the California Medical Association.

Mr. Dorsey oversees operations for Branch Accounting and Procurement, Budget Services, Facilities Services, and Human Resources.
